POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for summer trail maintenance. This role will be tasked with trimming trees, cutting trees, weed trimming, trimming brush, chipping, mulching, and appropriately removing debris from trails. Additional on hill and shop tasks may be required based on resort needs. This is a seasonal full-time position, compensated at $20/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Operate a chainsaw, small hand tools, power tools, weed trimmer to clear trees and debris from trails and glades
  • Chip trees
  • Operate company vehicles/ATVs
  • Mow, mulch, and seed exposed trails
  • Routine cleaning and maintenance checks for on hill equipment and vehicles, reporting any issues to mechanics
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times in accordance with Stratton and OSHA guidelines
  • Track work
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required


Experience:
  • Experience with power tools, chainsaws, and other equipment


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • 18+ years of age
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to work effectively unsupervised
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions all day
  • Clear communication skills, team player, and a positive attitude


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
