    Job Description

    • Ensure that all production concerns are factored into initial product concepts and designs.
    • Participate in the design and development of production tooling and machinery specifications and production automation.
    • Research and propose advanced production automation alternatives.
    • Ensure that all Engineering/Production concerns are identified, acted upon and implemented.
    • Assist in the planning and integration of production automation into shop layouts with production management and other appropriate staff.
    • Complete production training, time studies and workstation design and specification for new products, processes, and product changes.
    • Assist with prototype development.
    • Design and fabricate jigs, guards, gages to support production goals.
    • Consistently review plant layout and look for production efficiency opportunities.
    • Guide production team through continuous improvement objectives (layouts, load charts).
    • Work with maintenance to troubleshoot and develop permanent solutions to equipment downtime.
    • Effectively communicate with suppliers to develop new production equipment as well as maintain current equipment in house.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and one (1) year of engineering experience in mechanical and/or manufacturing disciplines.
