If you have a solid foundation in safety management and inspections, along with proven dedication to fostering a safety-oriented culture, the Bureau of Medical Marijuana invites you to apply for the crucial position of Safety Inspection Supervisor. In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing the Bureau's mission to ensure safe and effective access to medical marijuana for patients with serious medical conditions. Your contributions will be essential in shaping compliance processes and policies, as well as overseeing the activities of field inspectors involved in the inspection and investigation of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries, Grower Processors, and Clinical Registrants, all while promoting high-quality research.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will manage staff responsible for providing information and clarification regarding relevant policies, regulations, and application processes for Medical Marijuana Organizations (MMOs). You will assign and review the work of field inspectors, assess their performance, interpret labor agreements, address complaints, and support staff development. Additionally, you will identify training needs for inspectors, create training materials in collaboration with the Product & Delivery Management Leader, and request formal training in line with program policies. Your role will also involve participating in operational and pre-operational inspections for new constructions and facility openings, as well as reviewing MMO applications for facility alterations and providing feedback to the Product & Delivery Management Leader. You will engage with architects, engineers, local zoning officials, and other stakeholders to discuss compliance requirements and offer technical advice. Furthermore, you will coordinate with law enforcement, legal teams, state agencies like PDA and DEP, and federal organizations such as OSHA for auditing, inspections, investigations, and legal matters. Lastly, you will oversee the routine inspection activities of field inspectors, set inspection priorities, review findings, identify technical guidance needs, escalate compliance issues for legal action, and address emerging issues as they arise. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Safety Inspector (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience inspecting commercial, industrial, healthcare or other buildings, structures, machines, apparatus, devices or equipment for
compliance with applicable safety codes and regulations; or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
