Welder 2nd Shift ark We're looking for a skilled MIG welder to add to our growing team. In this role, it will be your job to create metal projects that match our clients' specifications. This production process will require you to complete several key tasks. For example, you'll be asked to read blueprints and to interpret them. You'll also have to select the right tools for the jobs and determine the proper gas ratios for the MIG welding process. Other tasks that you'll complete will include measuring and assembling metal pieces, using a variety of cutting tools, and drilling holes, among others. To do well in this role, you will need to be very comfortable with the MIG welding process. You should also be physically strong enough to complete a wide variety of welding tasks. We want to hire a MIG welder who has completed some formal training in the field. You should also have some previous professional experience in a similar role. MIG Welder Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints Select the appropriate tools, materials, and gas ratios for different jobs Prepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process Measure, cut, and drill materials to meet the specifications of the project Test the strength of your welds after each has been made Keep your welding tools clean and functional Assist us in maintaining our inventory and the cleanliness of our shop Follow all relevant safety procedures and protocols MIG Welder Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of formal MIG welding training at an accredited institution (can also be satisfied by completing a MIG welder apprenticeship) Familiarity with the most commonly used MIG welding tools, techniques, and materials Willingness to follow all safety procedures Solid levels of physical stamina and strength Hours for second shift is 2-12 is standard but its flexible Onsite interviews the candidate will take a welding test, they will need to bring their own gloves and helmets. We will provide the welder and test fixture. |
