Clinic/Practice Assistant, Family Medicine- South Weymouth

We are seeking a Full-time, 40-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support the Family Medicine suite onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm (shifts are staggered accordingly in that time frame). Dedicated to administrative support, Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations.
Responsibilities include check in, check out, patient scheduling, collecting balance due and co-payments, completing tasks in Epic in basket and work queues, handling mail and serving as the first point of contact for patient appointments.
This individual will work alongside 8 other Clinic/Practice Assistants in a collaborative atmosphere in our check-in and check-out space. Our team thrives on a teamwork-based mindset to provide the best care to our patients. We are looking for well-rounded detail oriented, customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume ambulatory clinic setting!

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
healthcare office experience 0-1 year required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic Proficiency with all Office Suite.
- Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.
- Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
