Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars. PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (STARSHIP COMPONENTS) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, track, and coordinate movement of parts as required through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to the next production location
- Create tote containers for WO's (work orders) and WIP's (work-in-progress)
- Oversee RFI (inventory request) material for upcoming jobs, machine lineside material cycle counts, and outside storage organization
- Manage tooling setup sheet gathering and distribution
- Maintain tooling management system, placing orders from system generated inventory demand. Restock incoming tooling
- Keep the machine shop moving smoothly by implementing and maintaining 5S standards. Assist in organizing chip bins and empty when necessary
- Organize and maintain the physical and electronic library calibrated devices database
- Develop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables, and constraints as required for internal and customer use
- Analyze available data and work with production supervisors and managers to develop and verify metrics as required to drive optimal results
- Work with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure our ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
- Support logistics process through innovative staging of workflow as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of supply chain or manufacturing experience OR Bachelor's degree in business administration (emphasis in operations and supply chain)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong computer skills, fluent with the suite of Microsoft office products
- Bachelor's degree
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems
- Experience in aerospace or electronic manufacturing environments
- APICS certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work Monday - Friday from 5:00AM - 3:00PM
- Valid driver's license
- The ability to lift heavy objects is required in this position (up to 25 lbs. unassisted)
- Able to work at elevated heights
- Able to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, etc.
- Able to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
- Available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required
- Able to and available for travel (up to 20% of time), including military and government installations
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Level 1: $22.00 - $24.50/hour Level 2: $24.00 - $27.00/hour Level 3: $26.00 - $30.00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
