We are seeking a full-time Operations Project Manager to support the Naval Safety Command in Norfolk, VA, within a hybrid work environment. In this role, you will lead project management efforts for the development, testing, and deployment of advanced predictive analytics models. These models will leverage large-scale data sets to identify and forecast potential precursors to naval mishaps and safety risks, contributing directly to mission readiness and operational safety. Responsibilities

    Provides overall management, governance, direction, and execution of assigned projects, as directed by the customer.
  • Oversees project financials, including tracking, forecasting, and reporting of status.
  • Interpret and communicate data insights clearly and effectively.
  • Prioritizes quality standards while ensuring tasks and deliverables are submitted on time and within budget.
  • Evaluates project requirements and determine related technical goals to accomplish required objectives.
  • Identifies deviations from financial and execution plans and implement corrective actions, as required, to ensure project success.
  • Communicates program status, technical progress, and business impacts to team management and other interested parties.
  • Fosters positive relationships with government customers, ensuring proactive and consistent communication.
  • Fosters an open and collaborative environment with support staff, ensuring consistent communication and feedback.
  • Drives implementation of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) technologies into funded customer projects.
  • Collaborates within a diverse program team comprised of FTI team members as well as Active-Duty Military and Government civilian employees.


Education/Qualifications

Required:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Management).
    • Equivalent professional experience of 4 or more years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of project management experience increasing in scale, scope, and complexity.
  • 2+ years of project management experience on programs/projects supporting the Department of Defense.
  • Professional experience using Microsoft TEAMS and other Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Project, to help facilitate office integration.
  • Professional experience with Data Analytics tools, such as Power BI and/or other similar Dashboard tools.
  • Professional budget management experience.
  • Professional experience with Standard Operating Procedure design/writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Must be physically located near, and willing to report to, the customer site in Norfolk, VA, full-time.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years working with advanced DoD Programs (esp. U.S. Navy) of increasing scale, scope and complexity while applying Agile SCRUM methods and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Naval Maintenance procedures and/or software applications; OR, Navy Saftey Operations and/or associated support procedures.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
  • Professional experience in IT-focused environments.
  • PMP certification.
