The Engineer (Water Reuse) position is an advanced role responsible for leading testing, research, and water quality activities at the Grace F. Napolitano Pure Water Southern California Innovation Center's Demonstration Plant (Demo Plant) in Carson, CA. The Engineer will apply a high degree of judgement to lead operations and testing at the Demo Plant, supporting the implementation and optimization of a future full-scale Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) facility. This position will report out of Headquarters adjacent to Union Station in Los Angeles but will be stationed in Carson. Schedule: 44/36, Monday through Friday/Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday. Monday - Thursday 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Travel: This position will require travel to various District facilities throughout the service area, sometimes requiring overnight stay in the project area. To view the full job description, click here: Engineer EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Degree in a related field is defined as: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering or other related Engineering degree Relevant Experience is defined as: Working with drinking water, recycled water/water reuse, and/or wastewater treatment processes, OR experience in water/wastewater/recycled water/water reuse regulatory compliance.
