Position Summary
The Manager Distribution - NDC plays a key role in shaping and executing JetBlue's distribution strategy, with a primary focus on the adoption and expansion of New Distribution Capability (NDC). This role is responsible for driving JetBlue's transition to NDC, ensuring alignment with revenue and commercial objectives, and fostering partnerships that enhance JetBlue's presence across multiple distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of airline distribution dynamics, a commercial mindset, and the ability to navigate industry developments while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
Essential Responsibilities
* NDC Strategy & Implementation: Lead the development and execution of JetBlue's NDC strategy, ensuring alignment with the airline's broader distribution objectives and revenue and pricing priorities.
* Partner & Channel Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), corporate travel partners, and other third-party distribution channels to optimize JetBlue's content accessibility and commercial performance through the NDC channel.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders in Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Technology to define business needs, establish priorities, and ensure successful implementation of NDC capabilities.
* Performance & Market Analysis: Monitor key distribution performance indicators, including booking trends, cost efficiencies, and revenue impact, to continuously refine JetBlue's NDC and overall distribution approach.
* Commercial & Industry Advocacy: Represent JetBlue in industry working groups and forums related to NDC and airline distribution, staying ahead of regulatory changes, competitive shifts, and emerging technologies that impact airline sales channels.
* Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, enhance the customer booking experience through third party channels, and drive commercial benefits through improved distribution efficiencies.
* Stakeholder Education & Adoption: Support internal and external education efforts around NDC adoption, ensuring that sales teams, corporate customers, and agency partners understand the benefits and functionalities of JetBlue's evolving distribution landscape.
* Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
* Five (5) years of professional experience in airline distribution or revenue management disciplines
* Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
* In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
* Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice
* Must pass a pre-employment drug test
* Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
* Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* Strong understanding of airline distribution, including NDC, GDS, and direct-connect strategies.
* Experience working in a commercial airline function such as Sales, Revenue Management, or Distribution.
* Ability to navigate complex industry landscapes and advocate for commercial improvements.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on revenue impact and operational efficiency.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing external partners and internal stakeholders.
* Knowledge of the airline industry.

* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

* Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

* Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
* Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
* Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:
* The base pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
