Overview:

Regulatory management is critical to safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Bank and ensuring that regulatory requirements are met. Regulatory Management Advisory partners with divisional functions and businesses to synchronize regulatory engagements and holistically manage supervisory initiatives with all of the regulators in the US. Regulatory Management Group's (RMG) mission is to safeguard the integrity and reputation of the Bank while promoting a culture of compliance with key supervisory and regulatory priorities, applicable rules, and best practices. Regulatory Management Advisory's key role is to manage and foster balanced and strategic regulatory relationships, coordinate and manage regulatory examinations, inquiries and remediation efforts and communicate supervisory priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Support the regulatory relationship managers and serve as a direct partner to the Bank's regulators focused on the prudential and securities regulatory space

  • Provide coverage on prudential and securities regulatory matters, and coordinate and escalate daily continuous monitoring activities, supervise, and direct targeted examinations, and deliver on all facets of regulatory engagement

  • Maintain effective prioritization and strategic delivery in the face of completing goals, obligations, and responsibilities of each business area

  • Support multiple team-wide priorities including delivery of reporting, management information and leadership briefing

  • Assist with the management of regulatory exams, inquiries, deep-dives, and other in-depth reviews across regulators. Adopt RMG best practices and protocols across all exams, inquiries, deep dives, and in-depth reviews and contribute to internal RMG US report for input into various regional and global forums

  • Add regulatory findings, requests, meetings in centralized repository, manage regulatory notifications and execute thematic Data Analysis across supervisory themes

Skills You'll Need

  • Working within the banking / financial services industry with strong knowledge of financial markets and risk management. Compliance, investment banking, and regulatory background is a plus

  • Very strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access skills and the ability to adapt to new technology to leverage for management reporting and strong business writing skills with ability to communicate complex ideas simply and convincingly, ask insightful questions, break analytical challenges into workable components, and draw meaningful conclusions

  • Ability to lead detailed regulatory exams and provide advisory to internal functional heads on regulatory matters pertaining to these areas

  • Savvy interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence colleagues at all levels of the organization and navigate with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion

  • Highly motivated, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, possessing follow through, ability to manage, monitor, track, and clearly communicate progress on multiple projects

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Strong program management experience

  • Detail oriented with a sense of urgency and immediacy. Must be able to pick up an action at a moment's notice, decipher "good enough" for the task at hand then follow up with polished product based on feedback and further clarification

  • Navigate tight and non-negotiable deadlines, escalating issues when appropriate. Be the "buffer". Display good judgment around prioritization and knowing what's relevant and important to your regulator and your coverage area

  • Ability to remain connected to other divisional and regulator priorities to determine cross discipline impact and interdependencies

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the Firm

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $120,750.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
