We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Sales Representative to drive our delivered commercial sales performance within the New England region. This role encompasses both volume and margin goals, with a focus on expanding our customer base and maximizing commercial opportunities. As a key member of our team, you will build and nurture relationships with existing customers while leveraging our network of third-party assets, transportation partnerships, and fleet resources to broaden our geographic reach. Sales Growth



  • Strengthen and manage relationships with our current customer base
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities outside of our existing customer base
  • Collaborate with management to establish and execute annual growth strategies
  • Ensure alignment with the customer specifications and requirements
  • Contribute to growth in Fleet Card and Implementation Services offerings by expanding opportunities and building customer connections


Business Development



  • Develop productive vendor relationships, particularly in transportation services, to foster mutual benefits
  • Represent Sprague in professional associations, legislative forums, and customer events as appropriate


Continuous Improvement



  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen competitive differentiation


Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:



  • In-depth knowledge of industry structure, functions, and key participants
  • Proven sales expertise, preferably within the energy sector or commodity sales
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to manage workloads effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with technology, including MS Office applications and Salesforce CRM


This opportunity is based in New England and will require travel throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
