IT User Support Intern Your tasks
Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy I.T. Intern to join our team and support daily operations within our information technology department. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic I.T. environment, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, system maintenance and user support, all while contributing to our I.T. Security. Responsibilities: Daily administration and support for all remote users in the America's Region, including but not limited to: Perform the roll out of laptop PCs including software and hardware upgrade planning and the general execution of end user equipment rollouts. Assist with basic security tasks such as software patching and system hardening Perform routine system updates and backups Document technical procedures and user guides Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to users via email, phone, remote or in-person Generates, reconciles, and maintains an inventory listing of hardware, software programs and licenses and reports these to the Americas Support Manager. Communicate in a prompt, courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers in all circumstances including providing information, answering questions, relaying messages. Maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested and appropriate internal information. Help ensure compliance with security and data privacy policies Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field a plus. Foundational knowledge of Information Technology concepts and a strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Must demonstrate knowledge in user administration, Microsoft Office suite support, Windows 10/11 Contribute to I.T. projects such as hardware rollouts and system upgrades System and software installation Update device drivers and security patches Experience using Bomgar Remote Support Tool a plus Experience using a helpdesk ticketing system Excellent organizational and project management skills including ability to organize time and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or project. Excellent ability to communicate verbally and also to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Accurate, clear, and timely communication of information, upward and laterally, including verbal, written and listening skills Ability to plan and organize, giving attention to detail and follow-through Reliable judgment that is consistent, adaptable to unusual situations, realistic, common-sense approach to job and problems Motivation, initiative, commitment, to self-improvement Willingness to consider other's ideas and to work with others.
