Associate Director, Commercial Training & Development

***This is not a remote position. Candidate will be required to work onsite two times weekly in the Princeton, NJ office.

Job Purpose:

The Associate Director, Commercial Training & Development is responsible for creation of the learning strategy, design, development, implementation, and measurement of training for the commercial personnel; including representatives, managers, and leadership.

This individual liaises with key stakeholders within each functional area (marketing, medical, ops, etc.) and ensures that the creation and pull-through of strategic directives are met.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Be a strategic and trusted training advisor to Kyowa Kirin North America's (KKNA).
  • Leading and developing a team of training managers to support each of the business units as well as reach their full potential and career aspirations.
  • Training strategy development in collaboration with commercial leadership for sales and marketing to uncover current and future development needs and implement processes and solutions to meet those needs.
  • Focuses on developing a learning journey for individuals related to disease state, product knowledge, selling skills, behaviors, continuous development, implementation, and execution.
  • Partners with sales and marketing leadership and human resources to determine training gaps/needs and creates key stakeholder communication/collaboration.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts within the business to help develop relevant and instructionally sound content that is well designed and organized.
  • Budget planning and allocation.
  • Vendor-supplier contracting.
  • Meeting planning and execution of meeting agendas for POA's & Annual National Sales Meetings.
  • Oversight of continual needs/gap analysis of current training programs as well as new training initiatives.
  • Assists team with developing sales training materials in parallel with the Legal, Medical, Regulatory process.
  • Responsible for administering the LMS and overseeing that the proper scheduling, documentation, logistics, and coordination of training events are being conducted by team and key stakeholders (i.e. LMS, training records, file management, documentation retention, etc.).
  • Proactively identify process improvement and opportunities for execution
  • Be a self-starter, skilled communicator, and dot-connector that is both creative and customer focused on achieving results.


Job Requirements:

Education:



  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred


Experience:



  • 7+ Years of training experience including launch products in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • 5+ Years of experience in a Pharmaceutical Sales Management role


  • Advanced facilitation and platform skills required
  • Proven understanding of Adult Learning Principles preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Instructor led classroom facilitation and use of a variety of learning mediums required (e.g. WebEx, eLearning etc.).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong meeting management skills
  • Ability to lead teams and individuals


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to travel up to 25% throughout the United States including overnight travel


Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Non-Technical Skills



  • Excellent verbal, written, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong meeting management skills
