Job Description
* Seeking a strong expert scheduler candidate for a long term contract role through the end of 2026 for the Portal North Bridge project. A multi-year effort to replace a century old bridge, with a modern, high-level fixed span bridge! Requirements *This role is part time, with 24 hours of work per week, candidate must be willing to work part time. *1 day per week onsite at 150 Meadowland Pkwy, Secaucus, NJ. * 8+ years of scheduling experience on capital construction projects * Primavera p6 experience * Rail / transportation experience is a huge plus Scheduler is responsible for developing, using, and improving existing enterprise tools, systems and work processes to drive effective planning and control within an integrated project scheduling system. Individuals in this role will act as a Program Scheduler driving and overseeing multiple design-build projects to implement industry best-practice scheduling processes. Individuals in this role will also develop and drive detailed high-complexity project schedules used to align priorities, mitigate conflict, predict outcomes and measure project performance Collaborate to develop project dashboards, cost and resource performance reports, change logs and risk registers in close collaboration with assigned leaders. * Collect project performance data and update project schedules in accordance with the standards * Develop and drive high risk/complexity project schedules within assigned program. * Track potential changes, ensuring estimates of cost and schedule changes are given visibility with Program Managers and the executive sponsor. * Integrate cost and schedule data as well as information from vendors and external entities to facilitate schedule and budget performance reporting. * Drives evaluation and impact assessment of identified project risks to enable project team with applicable data for development of risk mitigation plans and contingencies. * Develops and maintains automated project controls tools and workflows. * Partners closely with business partners to assess new and ongoing projects to determine readiness for governance stage gates. * Monitors actuals and works with other peers to review forecasting against budgets. * Supports Executive status review meetings, Governance and Change Control Boards. * Adheres to Enterprise Project Management methodology and Project Scheduling Standards and Protocols. Required Skills & Work Experience * Demonstrated project controls, schedule skills (schedule management, schedule reporting) & financial skills (budget management, financial reporting). * Strong project management skills. * Ability to drive efficiencies via strong project scheduling discipline. * Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service. * Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives. * Ability to build strong relationships with Project Managers and SME's to drive scheduling and estimating excellence at the project/program level. * Primavera P6 super user. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (8 yr+) relevant to expert level scheduling. * Must have work authorization in the United States. *Top Skills Details* Project scheduling,p6,rail *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Must be willing to work part time. *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
