The Role:

The Project Sales Engineer will drive sales growth in North America, focusing on highly process and specification driven designs to meet the needs of targeted market sectors.

As the Process Sales Engineer, you will take the lead on all aspects of the sales process, from qualifying new customers to cultivating relationships with existing customers to generating sales opportunities for our products, systems, and services.

Preference given to those residing in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City, or Kansas City.

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Seller: Understand the technical and business dimensions of customer challenges, opportunities, and goals.
  • Develop compelling business cases and proposals (including the ability to perform thermal calculations and requirements to construct an effective solution) which demonstrates value to our customers.
  • Create "trust" with the customer (internal and external) and utilize good judgment and business acumen to make things happen and satisfy the customers.
  • Develop positive working relationships across all departments (eg Business Development, Applications Engineering, and Operations) to foster and enable the best possible sales strategy and customer experience.
  • Actively develop business opportunities with existing and seek out new customers and opportunities in and increasingly competitive market and knowledge of the market sectors we serve.
  • Monitor sales and bookings for assigned accounts.
  • Attend industry events that drive awareness of the solutions and create relationships with key contacts at the venue, brand, ownership, management, and developer level.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of experience with technical and consultive sales and/or within industry.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other technical degrees are also considered.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Proven working experience with problem-solving, thinking creatively, and resolving personnel and project-related issues promptly.
  • Proven working experience successfully multi-tasking while possessing a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
