Performs complex administrative duties and technical program assistance for the Fleet Services Division, and assists other departments throughout the County with equipment inquiries. This position is also responsible for assisting in budget development for the Fleet Services Division, monitors expenses, and ensures accuracy in reporting.

Duties
-
- Process payments using the System, Applications, and Products (SAP) Data System for all new vehicles/equipment in Arapahoe County, including grant funding equipment. Create, process and monitor purchase orders using the SAP Date System.
- Input equipment information for all equipment purchased by Arapahoe County, including warranty repair and insurance coverage using maintenance software.
- Monitor fuel for the County equipment using WEX commercial fuel cards and above-ground fuel tanks using Fuel Master and FASTER maintenance software.
- Oversee the above-ground fuel tank annual permits and EPA inspections including maintaining fuel tank documentation for auditing process.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Manager on the annual budget including operational costs, materials (non-stock) shop inventory, tires, safety supplies, and vendor outsourced sublet repair.
- Work directly with the Motor Vehicle department on plating and titling new equipment purchased by the County.
- Work directly with Arapahoe County departments on replacing and retiring equipment to maintain the overall vehicle management/equipment system.
- Work with the E470 management on unpaid fines for the county toll road issues and communicating with the department heads to resolve payment conflicts.

- Ability to prepare and maintain essential clerical records, reports, and filing systems.
- Ability to perform data entry and retrieval functions and understand med-level Microsoft Office software systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with supervisors, fellow workers, individuals, and organizations internal and external to the County.
- Ability to learn County accounting methods, practices, procedures, and software.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience performing progressively responsible administrative duties and technical program assistance in a paid environment is required.
- Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfies the job's requirements may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- An associate or bachelor's degree with advanced coursework in accounting.
- Experience with the SAP Data System.
- Experience working in an Automotive Fleet Management environment.
- Experience working with an Automotive Maintenance Software program similar to FASTER automotive software.

Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment testing, including an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), background check.
- Possession of a valid Class "R" Colorado Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment.
- It will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check.
Post-Employment Requirements:
- Learn the FASTER automotive software.
- Fully understand the System, Applications, and Products (SAP) Data System.
- Understand the County's purchasing policies and procedures.
- Successful completion of bi-annual Colorado Justice Information System (CJIS) training.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position is deemed essential, and incumbents must be available for winter storms and other emergencies. They must work on an on-call rotation basis, which requires evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Work is performed in an office setting.
- Work locations and facilities are subject to change based on business needs.
