Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. POSITION SUMMARY:

Quality Improvement Risk Manager has the broad responsibility to ensure both the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs of Behavioral Health
Center of the hospital maintain compliance with all Joint Commission, CMS, state regulatory agencies standards, and UHS T.E.R.M. Program and Code of
Conduct and Compliance requirements at all times. The purpose of the risk management plan is to establish an organized, coordinated plan to prevent, reduce,
modify, and eliminate conditions and practices that may generate or cause loss. All risk management activities are clearly tracked to provide trending data,
accountability, program evaluation, and establish limits to standards. The risk management plan also establishes the level of authority and responsibility for the
decision-making processes and interaction through hospital wide communication. As a performance improvement coordinator, develop strategies, facilitates
and supports interdisciplinary teams to improve and redesign operational and administrative processes critical to safe, high quality, efficient patient and family
centered care. Primary consultant resource for process improvement. Lead, develop tools, train and assist in selecting, managing, evaluating, sustaining and
communicating outcomes of strategic process improvement projects. Ensure integration of clinical performance improvement, analyze and present healthcare
data, develop areas of opportunity and lead efforts in improvement, core measures and regulatory compliance. Also assists in the coordination of performance
and risk management data for risk trend analysis. Hours are based on department and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as
directed by BHC CEO. Participates in Administrator on Call if requested by BHC CEO. The Quality Improvement Risk Manager responds to emergency codes
as requested or assigned. The Quality Improvement Risk Manager has a dotted line of reporting to the TMC Director of Quality Management and TMC Director
of Risk Management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in nursing, or related health field is preferred. Master's
    Degree preferred. Combination of education and experience considered.
  • Three (3) years of experience in quality, risk management, or performance improvement in organizational leadership
    within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting. Behavioral health setting is preferred. Knowledge of high-risk
    areas.
  • Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation training must be completed during new hire orientation and annually
    prior to working in a clinical setting. Additional training to be completed with respective timeline.
  • Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements, CMS standards, Texas Administrative Code, and any other
    federal or state regulations related to behavioral health service delivery. Excellent communication (verbal and written)
    and interpersonal skills. Proficient computer skills (keyboarding and Microsoft Office Suite) as well as experience with
    project management and data analysis software programs. Action and results oriented with ability to understand,
    interpret and communicate complex subject matter. Ability to problem solve, utilize critical thinking skills and
    continually improve processes for better patient outcomes. Customer service focused with the ability to positively
    interact with and work well with others, facilitate sharing ideas, develop strategies and plans, implement changes and
    monitor results. Practices teamwork.
