Were seeking a future team member for the role of Lead Client Identity Access Management Engineer Director to join our Information Security Division Cyber Identity and Access Management team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA; Lake Mary, FL or New York City, NY HYBRID.

(Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from office. We are unable to sponsor work permits for this role.)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Client Identity Access Management Engineer to lead the development of technology and processes for Client Identity Access Management (CIAM) at BNY. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of identity governance administration, authorization, and authentication practices and technologies. They will be responsible for leading a team of developers and business analysts to design, implement, and maintain contemporary CIAM solutions that meet industry standards.

In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead the development of CIAM technology and processes, ensuring alignment with BNY's overall IAM strategy and industry best practices.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient CIAM solutions using technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CIAM solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers and business analysts.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and process flows, using tools such as MS Visio.
  • Communicate technical plans, progress, and issues to stakeholders across organizational and hierarchical levels.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in CIAM, making recommendations for adoption and implementation.
  • Ensure that CIAM solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements .

To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on client identity access management.
  • Strong architectural understanding of CIAM, including authorization and authentication practices and technologies.
  • Practical experience engineering CIAM solutions using industry-standard technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with process engineering and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Visio or similar tools for creating technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in CIAM.
  • Technical expertise in areas such as:
    • SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
    • MFA and Adaptive Authentication
    • Directory Services, including Active Directory and LDAP
    • Cloud-based IAM solutions, including AWS IAM and Azure AD

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based CIAM solutions and technologies.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $165,000 and $300,000peryearat the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
