Psychometrist II, Pediatrics

A Brief Overview

Psychometrist II is responsible for the administration and scoring of psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical neuropsychologist. Accurate administration and scoring of the assessments with appropriate norms and detailed behavioral observations of the examinee will be used by the psychologist to aid in test interpretation. Psychometrist II should be able to handle an increased patient load while applying strong clinical skills and judgment to manage patients and complete testing and scoring quickly and accurately. In addition, psychometrist will be responsible for various clerical or administrative duties as needed.

What You Will Do

• Consults with neuropsychologist prior to appointments to review appropriate testing procedures and accommodations for upcoming patients
• Performs testing of patients with standardized psychological and neuropsychological instruments, under the supervision of the attending licensed Neuropsychologist
• Scores tests and prepares a summary of results in a manner determined by and under the supervision of the attending licensed Neuropsychologist
• 32 hours face to face testing
• Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program
• Provides operational support to ensure the smooth flow of the department
• Initiate and submit prior authorization
• Assisting with training and onboarding of new technicians

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
