Job Overview The Associate, Budget Management manages and optimizes marketing and advertising production budgets for Macy's. This role ensures marketing investments align with key business priorities by analyzing past spending, forecasting budgets, and providing financial insights. Partnering closely with marketing leadership, finance teams, and key stakeholders, this position influences budget decisions through data-driven analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations. What You Will Do
Skills You Will Need Budget Management & Forecasting - Expertise in developing, managing, and optimizing marketing and advertising production budgets, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Financial Analysis & Modeling - Strong analytical skills to assess past performance, build financial models, and provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making. Strategic Decision-Making - Ability to influence business leaders through financial insights, scenario planning, and risk assessments to drive cost-effective marketing investments. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Proven ability to partner with marketing leadership, finance teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to optimize spending and improve efficiency. Reporting & Performance Tracking - Experience in preparing budget reports, variance analysis, and forecasting to monitor budget performance and identify opportunities. Presentation & Communication - Strong ability to distill complex information (budgets, analysis) into streamlined reports, budget recommendations, and strategic insights to senior leadership. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization - Clear systems thinker. Track record of identifying process enhancements, negotiating cost savings, and implementing best practices for budget efficiency. Financial Acumen - Proficiency in finance and accounting principles, including reading P&Ls, understanding capital expenditures, and interpreting key financial KPIs. Who You Are
