Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist opportunity with NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for conducting comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments for hospital patients in the ICU setting as well as the general medical /surgical floors.

• The candidate will provide therapy to patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments caused by medical conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, degenerative diseases, and post-operative complications
• Candidate will assist with comprehensive evaluation including discharge disposition recommendations as part of the interdisciplinary Rehabilitation team
• Shift: Per Diem (Flexible) - Primarily Weekends and Holidays with the opportunity for weekday coverage as needed

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology

Preferred:

• Competency in pediatric Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and/or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)

Per Diem Rate = $70 per hour
