Job Title: Data Center Technician (L4)
Location: Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin Description: Are you an experienced Data Center Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology? Join our team and be part of a dynamic group handling large GPU deployments inside an enterprise data center environment. We are seeking dedicated professionals with 7+ years of DC experience to troubleshoot and manage our advanced systems. Summary: As a Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our data center operations. Your responsibilities will include: * Removing network cables as part of data center decommissioning. * Running, labeling, and staging power and networking cables. * Preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads. * Conducting physical audits of data center assets. * Following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures for hardware startups and shutdowns. Requirements: * Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. * Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). * Willingness to travel regionally up to 75% of the time. Job Responsibilities: * Monitor systems for equipment failure or performance errors. * Respond to program error messages by identifying and correcting issues or terminating the program. * Assist programmers and systems analysts in testing and debugging new programs. * Operate spreadsheet programs and other software to load, manipulate data, and produce reports. Qualifications: * Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred. * 5+ years of data center experience required. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Top Skills: * Data center operations, cable management, hardware troubleshooting. * Experience with GPU deployment (highly desirable but not required). * IT skills within network and systems management. Additional Information: We are looking for a traveling tech team consisting of 9 L4 DC Techs and 1 DC Tech Lead based out of the Milwaukee market.
