Are you an experienced recruiter looking for a 6 month opportunity? Would you be excited to hire product managers, research scientists, and engineers building AI solutions shaping the legal tech industry? This is a chance to work with Thomson Reuters' product and tech leaders as part of our world-class talent acquisition team. We're looking for full-cycle recruiters skilled in sourcing and assessing technical experts, with a strong understanding of the US and Canadian markets for tech talent.

We are looking for experienced Contract Recruiter to support our hiring efforts for our Product and Product Engineering Teams, for a potential term of 6 months. The role will support Software and Research Engineering, Data and Applied Sciences, and Technical Product Manager roles in NAMER (US & Canada). The talent we recruit is often passive, engaged in their work, and top contributors in their current organizations. In addition to managing external/internal applicants and referrals, it is your job to skillfully identify, source, engage and sell these passive candidates on the opportunities within Thomson Reuters.

About the Role

In this role as a Contract Recruiter, you will:

  • Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process, from receipt of approved requisition to the accepted offer

  • Create and execute recruiting strategies that are creditable and show clarity with stakeholders to drive results

  • Create effective sourcing strategies designed to attract top and passive talent with an emphasis of diverse pipelines

  • Build tailored assessment and interview processes for hiring needs to learn about the candidate's skills and capabilities

  • Be accountable for meeting established performance targets and providing a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruiting cycle

  • Utilize Workday (applicant tracking system) to post positions, manage candidates, develop reports, and maintain all recruitment data

  • Implement best practices to attract and recruit diverse talent including use of technology, social media, community outreach, military, educational, professional organizations, referral networks and outplacement agencies

About you

You are a fit for the role of a Contract Recruiter if your background includes:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated recruitment experience, combination of corporate and agency experience preferred. Experience sourcing and recruiting AI talent is preferred (ML Engineers, Data and Applied Scientists with NLP and LLM)

  • Proven experience in creative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates using out-of-the-box methodologies and the ability to build pipelines through those efforts

  • A prior record of accomplishment of recruiting and scaling high-performing organizations; prior experience working in global information, professional services, or technology company is desirable

  • Successful and efficient use of technology (Workday knowledge is a plus) to manage a workload of up to 25 open jobs at a time while being mindful of time to fill and candidate experience goals

  • A demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate candidates; Training in behavioral or competency-based interviewing is a plus

  • An analytical mindset and are adept at leveraging data to make informed decisions

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and OFCCP compliance requirements

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
