Job Summary: Responsible for helping the company achieve its financial goals and objectives through the implementation of various strategies and initiatives. The strategies and initiatives should align with company goals and support growth, increased market share, and competitiveness. Oversees manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control and manufacturing engineering/planning. Recommends manufacturing policies and programs to guide the product lines in maintaining and improving the competitive position and profitability of the operations. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the organization that are in line with the company's business goals.
  • Ensures that the site's strategic plan is aligned with and supports the mission, vision, and overall business plan
  • Collaborates with the management team to create long-term company strategy.
  • Communicates and explains the strategic objectives to various stakeholders with the company.
  • Measures the effectiveness of the implemented strategies and necessary adjustments as required
  • Leads and manages the implementation of new business initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Identifies and addresses issues and risks that could affect the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Maintains and supports the site performance measurement system through the tiers of leadership from plant/shop floor to the senior leadership team.
  • Maintains safe working conditions for all in the area and ensures that production activities do not adversely affect the local community or environment and achieves compliance with external regulations and corporate EHS systems.
  • Identifies opportunities, develops, and executes improvement plans to achieve the site targets.
  • Provides leadership on problem root cause analysis, identifying actions, and timely resolution.
  • Coordinates, reviews, and approves all proposal activities associated within the assigned business areas.
  • Coordinates, reviews, and approves all material and labor estimates for new and recurring programs within the assigned business areas.
  • Works with other departments to review all design documents involving manufacturing and procurement to ensure the program's execution is successful and profitable.
  • Reviews and approves all Engineering Release Authorization documents within the assigned business areas.
  • Monitors, reviews, and evaluates the performance of budgets for all assigned programs. Implements corrective action to achieve satisfactory performance to budgets, as necessary.
  • Develops EAC's / ETC's for the necessary programs and report the findings to the Program Office and Program Finance Office.
  • Serves as a focal point for all necessary activities between departments.
  • Communicate all necessary information to the Operations departments so that plan(s) can be timely executed within established direction.
  • Assists in the resolution of unresolved Engineering issues affecting efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Assists in the resolution of unresolved vendor issues.
  • Assists in the development of yearly capital equipment planning.
  • Participates and presents to Senior Management the status of assigned programs during monthly reviews.
  • Monitors all planned deliveries for timeliness and assures customer satisfaction through the delivery of a quality product.
  • Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the product lines including product line goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the organization.
  • Reviews and evaluates cost effectiveness, consistency, quality, accuracy, and performance to standards and takes actions necessary to correct discrepancies.
  • Ensures compliance with all contract security requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in a technical field (preferably industrial engineering) and/or business administration plus a minimum of twelve years' experience in management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects with geographically diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and influence, with and without direct authority, production associates, staff associates, site management, and senior business management.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, and a history of accomplishing problem resolution.
  • Familiarity with personal computer software.
  • Capable of performing responsibilities under prominent levels of stress.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments under minimal supervision.

Cubic Pay Range:

$180,000.00 - $250,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
