Description

Position Summary

The Digital Card Support Specialist role is an expert in product functionality, transaction routing and settlement for debit cards. Maintains proficient compliance knowledge of Regulation E, card brands and Atm network rules. Monitors vendor compliance and reports for any discrepancies. Additionally, the Digital Card Support Specialist is responsible for processing card maintenance related customer requests and troubleshooting issues involving the use of a debit card, balancing for all card settlement and processing exception items and adjustments. Monitors and work with manager for ordering card plastics. Processes vendor billing through general ledger entries in a timely manner. Maintains an expert level of the understanding of payment channels including mobile and digital wallets, tokenization, EMV/Chip, contactless, etc. Responsible for industry knowledge of the payment authorization process for payment channels. This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work related to this job description. Other job-related duties in Digital Services may be assigned as required.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution or card operations environment.
  • Minimum (2) years experience working with electronic payments and network rules, Regulation E, Card Act and MasterCard Rules is preferred.



Preferred Education/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of other areas of bank operations
  • Must have general ledger reconcilement experience.
  • Must possess knowledge of payment card systems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications. Advanced excel is required.
  • Must have ability to multi-task and balance priorities to move freely between the various channels as the workload dictates.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with members of the staff to understand, explain and educate, and resolve more common situations and requests.
  • Ability to read and interpret banking policies and procedures and governing federal and state laws, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to write procedures, reports and correspondence.
