Role and Responsibilities The US UIR EHS Expertise Manager will manage the EHS program for the US UIR Operations team by driving leadership and employee engagement. They will establish key safety focus areas, monitor KPIs, provide training, ensure the successful roll-out of new/improved safety processes/procedures, drive safety culture improvements and lead safety workgroups with diverse teams to improve the overall safety program. Responsibilities
Role model and champion the safety ambassador program to promote a strong safety culture across all operations. Provide ongoing guidance and monitor program's progress and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with company's safety goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback and continuously improve the program. Lead recognition initiatives to highlight the contributions and achievements of safety ambassadors. Drive and actively participate in safety improvements with 3rd party suppliers, including ensuring the safety onboarding process and contractor safety program elements are in place. Manage and interpret EHS-related documentation, including but not limited to: OSHA 300 logs, safety indicators (leading/lagging), incident logs (near miss/good catch, injury, and environment). Support UIR teams at multiple sites during project kick-offs; provide UIR - specific training, perform audits; work with UIR management to understand support needs for each site. Perform thorough incident investigations to ensure actions are in place to prevent further occurrence: facilitate incident reviews, risk rank incidents, follow-up with operational line management. Use indicator analysis to determine key focus areas and goals for the UIR team Manage ISO 45001 compliance items and perform on-site audits routinely to verify conformances. Create Toolbox talks, safety communications, and informational presentations and effectively distribute and deliver to multiple levels of operations team within the US UIR team. Establish your role as key leader of the UIR team. Perform in-fab GEMBA walks (behavioral safety observations) in partnership with UIR operations teams. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field of study from an accredited educational institution required. Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a field directly related to Environmental, Health and Safety required. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications and able to create polished, professional presentation material. Experience using Intelex (EHS management software) is a plus.

Other Information
This position is located on-site in either Hillsboro, N Phoenix, or Chandler field offices. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. The position requires onsite presence to deliver in-person Life Saving Rules trainings, deliver toolbox talks and knowledge transfers, visit the customer fab to perform routine safety audits and observations, attend shift pass-downs as needed and to be available to employees to answer questions and provide overall support. Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time; mostly domestic travel.
