The expected outcomes for our Communications Specialist are:



  • Intranet Management: Execute intranet content and evolve guidelines and best practices for news posts, knowledge-based pages, event calendar, rotating carousels, imagery, search optimization, and newsletters.
  • Communications & Stakeholder Support: Craft and support communications initiatives, interdepartmental projects, and corporate communication message development for internal stakeholders.
  • Event Support: Provide logistical or communications support for member-facing, community, or employee engagement events to build engagement with our brand and purpose.
  • Metric-Oriented: Utilize intranet analytics to inform communication strategies, ensuring employees have the resources and information they need to deliver exceptional service to credit union members and teammates.
  • Professionalism and Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality, including tact and diplomacy in all interactions.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, successfully managing multiple projects and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Capability Requirements



  • One to three years' experience focused on a corporate intranet, website, or knowledge management system.
  • Undergraduate degree in communication, marketing, or commensurate experience.
  • Detail-oriented, superior organizational skills and must be able to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Copywriting and editing skills, with potential to grow and expand.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Growth mindset with a can-do attitude.
  • Driver's license required.

Required Statement Sections
Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk, and use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and /or carry up to 10 pounds.
Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.
Equipment Used: Variety of office equipment (telephone, printer, pc, mobile devices, etc).
