Opportunity Summary The Subcontracting Coordinator manages subcontractor relationships and contracts across the U.S. and internationally to supplement Cenero's workforce, particularly in remote locations, union buildings, and areas of specific business need. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, review proposals, negotiate agreements, and oversee contracts for projects of varying scope and complexity. Key responsibilities include sourcing and prequalifying subcontractors, validating project completion, maintaining data integrity within subcontractor database, and addressing performance issues. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service aligned with Cenero Core values, budget management, and performance evaluation, to ensure successful project execution in line with Cenero standards and industry best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Identify, recruit, and prequalify national and international AV subcontractors * Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to obtain project requirements for subcontract engagement * Secure and evaluate subcontractor proposals based on cost, services, timing, and terms. * Negotiate pricing to align with budget constraints, where necessary * Execute contracts and provide a clear handoff to Cenero project managers * Process and coordinate pre-sale site survey requests * Validate project completion through communication with project managers and subcontractors * Maintain real-time status updates on all labor requests * Monitor, approve, and track subcontractor invoices and payments using company software * Manage project files, subcontractor SharePoint records, and database integrity * Maintain and strengthen subcontractor relationships, even outside active contracts * Act in accordance with Cenero's core values, contributing to a positive workplace culture * Other duties assigned as assigned Experience and/or Education * High school diploma, or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Minimum 2 years in contract management or equivalent experience * Experience working in the audio-visual or construction industry is strongly preferred * Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record Skills * Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively across all levels, both internally and externally * Knowledge of contract management and skillful negotiation abilities * Understanding of the construction industry and key scheduling milestones * Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, cabling, and integration * Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills to ensure objectives are successfully met * Customer service focus with the ability to maintain strong business relationships * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, carry materials, use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and tools, and talk and hear. Other requirements include: * Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 15 pounds * Required to operate all necessary mechanisms to safely drive motor vehicles Work Environment The work environment is primarily an office location. Occasional travel may be required within a two-hour radius of the assigned Cenero office. Out of office environments may include educational buildings, corporate office buildings, government locations, construction sites, and Cenero offices.
