What is the role about?
The Procurement Expeditor is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of purchased items by monitoring orders, coordinating with suppliers, and expediting delayed shipments. This individual will work closely with all areas of the organization, especially the Projects and Solutions teams.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions and in compliance with procurement guidelines.
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgments and delivery dates.
  • Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers to monitor order status and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Conducts routine supplier meetings to gather status updates and coordinate priorities with the supplier.
  • Proactively identify potential delays in the supply chain, take necessary actions to expedite deliveries, and communicate potential delays or bottlenecks in the supply chain or project timeline.
  • Engages in discussions with customers to establish mutually agreed-upon schedules and, when necessary, negotiate expediting fees to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and status information to management and project teams.
  • Confirm accuracy of data within ERP system related to confirmed and projected ship dates on a regular basis.

What do we expect from you?
You will have (required):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

You may have (preferred):

  • Minimum of 1 year in an expediting or purchasing role with proven track record in monitoring and expediting purchase orders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly, articulating complex technical issues, and engaging with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative.
  • Demonstrates trust, respect, and support for others, fostering teamwork and a collaborative spirit. Collaborates effectively with others, sometimes across departments, to achieve organizational goals and enhance customer experience.

  • Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks while adapting to shifting demands.
  • Collaborates effectively with others, sometimes across departments, to achieve organizational goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
