Job Summary

The Jr. Systems Analyst Intern assists in analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provide direct support to the GIS and Records organization with analysis and development of Network Inventory as well as integrations with other critical applications. The candidate will track, report and analyze the operations process and constantly improve access to information in order to operate the Lightpath network effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of system integrations with physical, logical and provisioning tools.
  • Support the engineering and operations with network inventory reporting.
  • Analyze current state of network data and constantly working to improve data quality.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding processing of network documentation.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program related to the role, entering their senior year, or recent graduates (undergraduate or master's level).
  • Pursuing a college degree in Computer Science or Statistical studies.
  • One to three years of experience with strong analysis skills.
  • Established comfort with using formulas, calculations, and pivot tables within spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work closely with other functions.
  • Ability to develop ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • High energy self-motivator with a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and mentoring highly desired, with a drive for learning and growth.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in scope of position.

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access & Visio.
  • Proficient in SQL and/or Python to gather data needed for analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics (descriptive) required; advanced knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to manage GIS data models is a plus.

Success Criteria

  • Develop a deep understanding of Lightpath systems and deliver proposals for process and data improvement.
  • Ability to assist Lightpath users with application challenges as a subject matter expert of the fiber network inventory system.

Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with Colorado law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
