We offer you the opportunity to be a positive force in your position and in your community. Presently we are in search of an experienced Chief Strategy Officer for our talented Marketing Team. This position can be in either Coeur d'Alene or Meridian, ID. The Chief Strategy Officer will direct all external messaging and communication strategies for the bank. This position is responsible for development and oversight of the bank's strategic marketing plan consistent with division and enterprise-wide objectives. In addition, the Chief Strategy Officer will lead the managers of the marketing department and community relations teams. This is a full-time executive position, pay based on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and direct all external messaging and communication strategies for Mountain West Bank. Oversee external communications, including media relations, press releases, and public messaging, to strengthen and elevate the bank's brand and reputation.
  • Uphold and promote the core beliefs, core values, and customer service standards that define the Mountain West Bank culture.
  • Direct the management and managers of the marketing, events coordination, and community relations teams. This includes direct supervision of the division Marketing Manager, Regional Events Coordinators, and division Community Reinvestment Act Coordinator.
  • Consistent with division specific and enterprise-wide objectives, develop and execute strategic marketing plans that elevate brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth across the bank division footprint.
  • Use data and market insights to shape marketing decisions, improve performance, and ensure measurable results. Develop and lead a marketing strategy that elevates Mountain West Bank's growth, strengthens its position in the market, and adapts to changing industry trends.
  • Manage the bank's advertising agency relationship, internal and external communications, digital presence, and community engagement efforts, while providing strategic leadership to align marketing with overall business objectives.
  • Fulfills role as a strategic and collaborative member of the division leadership team and collaborates closely with the team to ensure the bank division is meeting performance expectations.
  • Works collaboratively with corporate department leadership and division peers to develop and improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures that enhance overall company performance.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 or more years of experience in a strategic marketing role.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to collaborate.
  • Ability to apply logical or critical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of organization, ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy, manage multiple projects, demonstrate self-motivation and ability to follow through with tasks
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others; work to develop and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships; represent the bank in a positive manner and maintain credibility with others
  • Ability to produce work within directed timeframe without compromising integrity or quality of work
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information obtained during the course of performing job duties; adhere to Bank policies and procedures regarding confidentiality

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
