Position Description:
Assists with the implementation of circular textile initiatives, including pilot projects, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Works cross-functionally to support strategies that reduce textile waste, increase reuse and recycling rates, and contribute to measurable sustainability outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cross-trained in textile grading and shadows in other departments within the aftermarket and sustainability divisions to enhance knowledge and provide versatile support.
  • Works directly with the Textile Manager on special projects and pilot programs to advance sustainability initiatives.
  • Assists with operational pilot programs to help test and refine textile circularity solutions.
  • Supports the execution of department operations plans to help achieve targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for revenue, production, and diversion.
  • Collaborates and effectively communicates with various GCNA divisions to ensure customer, Team Member, and operational needs are supported.
  • Engages with external recycling partners and internal teams to assist in driving alignment and innovation.
  • Helps build and maintain strong relationships with recycling and reuse partners, brands, and industry stakeholders to support circularity initiatives.
  • Assists in gathering data and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to analyze and report on circularity initiatives.
  • Works with data analysts to track, analyze, and report key circularity metrics, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepares project updates and assists in compiling pilot results into presentations or summaries for leadership.
  • Supports the creation of training materials and helps implement processes to ensure accountability and best practices within the organization.
  • Identifies operational challenges and supports the development of scalable solutions to optimize textile recycling efforts into long-term circular solutions.
  • Monitors industry trends to help identify opportunities for innovation in textile circularity.

  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Some experience in sustainability, circular economy, textile recycling, or a related field. Relevant experience may include work or academic projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in managing and prioritizing projects with a focus on supporting pilots and tracking progress.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with some experience in training and documentation development preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English proficiently.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
