Job Description:

• This position will provide essential support to the Recycled and Purified Water Unit in implementing the Purified Water Project for the 24,000 AFY Full Scale DPR Facility in San Jose. Key responsibilities include assisting with Phase II of Oro Loma Horizontal Levee project, managing technical studies related to recycled and purified water projects, and supporting site permitting and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
• Additional duties include contributing to direct potable reuse research, providing technical support for outreach initiatives, conducting tours at the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center, coordinating inter-agency efforts through the Water Tracker, and overseeing quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), database management, and reporting.
• Filling this position is essential to ensuring that these critical projects remain on schedule and meet high standards of quality and collaboration.
• Without this support, there is a risk of project delays, diminished research quality, and missed opportunities for effective inter-agency coordination.

Qualifications:

• Shall be familiar with principles of Civil/ Environmental Engineering, water quality parameters and water/wastewater treatment
• processes and recycled water production and also be able to work on developing engineering feasibility studies and reports. Have
• an understanding of the permitting and regulatory requirements related to recycled water and water reuse is desired. Be able to
• communicate clearly in oral and written forms.
