DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position necessitates a comprehensive knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Code and the regulations established by the Department of Transportation concerning vehicle registration and licensing. Responsibilities will include the evaluation and processing of both straightforward and intricate applications for motor vehicle and driver licenses via computer systems. You will also be tasked with renewing or replacing various driver licenses, issuing non-driver photo identification, updating medical certifications for commercial licenses, managing license restorations, and addressing requests for driver license information. Additionally, you will handle ownership requests for vehicles registered in Pennsylvania or acquired from other states, issue various registration plates, and oversee applications for imported or exported vehicles. Other duties encompass correcting odometer readings, managing salvage titles, renewing registrations, updating credentials, and maintaining lienholder information. Moreover, you will process applications for disability parking placards, create records for returned registration plates, and investigate discrepancies while retrieving necessary documents to update customer records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
