JOB DESCRIPTION * Coordinate and implement activities supporting accurate and timely document management, adherence to tight project timelines, and protection of PHI. * Supports the team by requesting, retrieving, processing, tracking and organizing incoming Medical Records which will be reviewed by the clinical and/or coding teams. Your Responsibilities: * Manage and maintain medical records repository. * Ensure accurate and timely record processing, compliance with processes to protect PHI, and effective tracking of records and record requests. * Retrieval of medical records including but not limited to Risk Adjustment, HEDIS, Regulatory Audits via fax, mail, and remote electronic medical record access. * Assist internal team and provider groups to troubleshoot any logistical or technical issues regarding records requests, retrieval or storage. * Effectively communicate with team members and external providers to ensure adherence with challenging project timelines. * Identify and escalate process issues. * Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to leaders and internal team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. * Complete additional tasks as required to support the project. Customer service outreach/phone calls to providers to confirm medical records request. Hours: Candidates can work five 8-hour shifts during the week, between the hours of 6am to 6pm CST. No travel required; candidates can be fully remote and work their desired shift, between the hours listed above, but must be available from 8am-4:30pm CST, during the first 4 weeks (minimum) for training. Required: 3 years of Medical Records experience 3 years of various EMR experience, EPIC being preferred Adobe experience Experience navigating and using Excel for auditing and analyzing *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
