MMD Medical, A Velosity Company is searching for a Sustaining Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. A Sustaining Quality Engineer will support operations and project teams by providing statistical and technical support through direct testing of products and processes to ensure consistent customer requirement fulfillment.

The typical pay range for this role: $75,000- $112,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Essential Duties:

  • Focus on existing product line maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) to enhance in-process controls.
  • Support manufacturing operations to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of established processes and update control plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues in real-time.
  • Develop and analyze in-process data to provide trend analysis, troubleshoot quality issues, and offer recommendations to internal and external customers.
  • Drive quality-related investigations to resolution and manage associated quality system records (CAPA, NC, Complaint).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in systems and products within assigned areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (High School Diploma/GED minimum)
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in a Medical Device or Component manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in quality tools (PPAP, IQ, OQ, PQ, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, GRR)
  • Experience with quality management systems (ISO, AS, GMP)

  • Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Pulling, Twisting, Turning, Seeing, Hearing
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, and climate control. This position requires the employee to work on a manufacturing floor where they may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors, exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, oil and waste

Protective Clothing Required: When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
