Job Title: Remote Medical Coding Specialist
Location: Fully Remote (Candidates must reside in the state of New York to qualify) Responsibilities: * Identify, collect, assess, monitor, and document claim and encounter coding information as it pertains to CMS Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC). * Actively participate in and support the Risk Adjustment team-based environment to educate providers on coding compliance and consistency. * Work with the Coding Leader of Risk Adjustment to ensure coding compliance and appropriate reimbursement from CMS. * Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer. * Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, meeting monthly accuracy > 98% for all work completed. * Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential member information. * Ability to verify and ensure the accuracy, completeness, specificity, and appropriate coding based on CMS HCC categories and guidelines. * Proficiently analyze and translate medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, and illnesses into Risk Adjustable codes. Requirements: * Minimum of 2-3+ years of physician billing or coding experience. * Active certification with any of the following required (RHIT, CPC, CCS, CRC) * Coding education including understanding of proper guidelines and usage of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. * Proficiency with FACETS * High School Diploma or GED. Details: * Pay: $24 - $32/hr. based on related experience. * Pay cycle - weekly | Medical, dental and vision benefits offered * 100% remote - equipment provided (must be located in the state of NY to qualify) * Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm * Anticipated Start Date: 4/21/2025 *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
