Senior Network Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage and maintain our network infrastructure. This role will primarily focus on Meraki firewalls, switches, and access points, as well as Azure networking. Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for integrating networks from newly acquired organizations, which may include a variety of equipment such as Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall, and Palo Alto.
Workplace Type: * 100% Remote Terms: * Contract to Hire Compensation: * $130,000 - $140,000 Work Hours: * PST (Pacific Standard Time) Key Responsibilities: * Lead the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware (switches, firewalls, access points, etc.). * Monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability. * Provide advanced support for LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, addressing issues related to connectivity and performance. * Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall configuration, VPN setups (Cisco AnyConnect VPN, Azure VPN), and SASE solutions. * Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, IP address allocations, and configurations. * Respond to network outages and issues, escalating when necessary to senior team members. * Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and network technologies. * Manage and maintain Meraki firewalls, switches, and access points. * *Oversee and optimize Azure networking, including*: * Virtual Networks (VNets) * VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute * Azure Firewall and Firewall Manager * Network Security Groups (NSGs) * Load Balancers and Application Gateways * Azure Bastion and Private Link * Traffic Manager and Azure DNS * Integrate networks from newly acquired organizations, ensuring seamless connectivity and security. * Configure and manage network equipment from various vendors, including Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall, and Palo Alto. * Collaborate with IT teams to support network-related projects and initiatives. * Provide technical support and training to staff as needed. * Mentor and guide junior network engineers. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role. * Strong knowledge of Meraki, Azure networking, and various network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall, Palo Alto). * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Familiarity with network security practices and protocols. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: * Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Meraki CMNA, Azure certifications). * Experience with network integration during mergers and acquisitions. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $67.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
