Material Handler - Keep Warehouse Operations Moving!

Location: Aurora, IL

Pay Rate: $22.75 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:15 AM - 6:00 PM (Training schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for two weeks)

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Aurora, IL. This role is ideal for individuals with warehouse experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and order pickers, handling inventory, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks (sit-down forklifts) and order pickers to move, load, and unload materials.
• Use handheld scanners with accuracy to track inventory and shipments.
• Perform inbound receiving processes and maintain organized storage areas.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to the company's 7S program to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
• Work effectively in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Lift and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs. and move wheeled carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Certified and trained in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to process excellence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and team members.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime as needed.
