The Support manager will manage, monitor, modify and maintain systems for acceptable availability, stability and response time to customers. Systems include, but are not limited to, data center, network, operating system, product development, mail server, applications server and groupware.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensures systems are monitored for optimum performance and availability.
  • Oversees the implementation of system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Ensures that customer and internally-reported system problems are resolved.
  • Provides direction in the implementation and monitoring of corporate security policies.
  • Ensures system procedures, policies and events are documented and implemented.
  • Schedules 24x7 support on-call rotation.
  • Manages system backup and restore testing processes.
  • Manages periodic recovery testing of DR plans.
  • May also be responsible for planning and leading the maintenance and administration of all SQL, web and/or application servers.
  • Responsible for department budget.
  • Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching and pay reviews.
  • May perform other job duties assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure support, infrastructure implementation, or a combination of the two.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Oversees the daily operation of one or more departments. Directs staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and programs. Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods and staffing. Adheres to both company policy and governmental regulations concerning department and direct employee activities. Manages departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting. Responsible for department budget. Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching and pay reviews.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of products offered by JHA.
  • Able to oversee all aspects of systems/network administration to include design, installation, configuration, maintenance, security and DR.
  • Able to maintain and improve system reliability and performance.
  • Able to evaluate and recommend sound technology solutions.
  • Able to guide in the resolution of customer problems in a timely manner.
