Responsibilities Peraton Corporation is looking for a Field Engineer in Washington DC, responsible for configuring, managing, monitoring, and maintaining government Command and Control (C2) as a Senior Equipment Installer. The installer will be part of a maintenance team responsible for the installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of network, video, and phones services used on a government network. A list of the daily tasks include: * Tier II phone support of reported customer incidents supporting network connections, video endpoints, VoIP phones, Desktops, mobile devices and fax printer systems * Provide End User support, to include in-room and external network support or troubleshooting, repair /replacement or installation * Provide maintenance, to include powering on devices, inspecting/connecting cabling, confirming system availability * Remote and on-site support of preventive maintenance checks and services * Coordination of all issues with the network operations center * Recording and managing all activities using a ticketing system * Documentation and reporting of all associated maintenance activities * Develop and provide training to end users on the various systems in use as needed. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * HS Diploma (or GED) and eight years of related experience or a commensurate combination of education, training and experience, is required. * Two+ years of experience in IT services, with troubleshooting and equipment repair (Voice, video, desktop, network, etc.) * Capability to drive in the Washington, DC metro area with a valid driver's license * Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to work in a high pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy, and coordinate multiple projects, demonstrable by work history * Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment * Availability to support on call duty for responding to maintenance outages * Experience working on civilian federal government agency contracts * Direct experience with COMSEC material and devices * Experience with a ticketing system to manage incidents and problems * Knowledge of Solarwinds monitoring systems * Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer. Target Salary Range $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
