Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. We are looking for a Corporate Travel Program Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role optimizing travel-related operations. As a Corporate Travel Program Manager, you will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that enhance travel experiences, improve cost efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent client management skills and a passion for the travel and tourism industry. You will collaborate with various departments, to ensure that travel policies and strategies align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a background in travel program management, excellent communication skills, and comfort in working autonomously to solve our business needs. Responsibilities
- Manage the First Citizens Bank (FCB) corporate travel program.
- Become a subject matter expert on our corporate travel systems and tools.
- Manage FCB's current travel vendor relationships (e.g. hotels and airlines) and identify opportunities to grow new relationships.
- Negotiate discounts with hotel properties, airlines and car rental agencies.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for travel support.
- Analyze travel data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement travel policies and strategies to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance customer travel experiences.
- Proactive Monitoring and Reporting of Company Credits:
- Monitor credit utilization monthly to ensure usage and reduction of $ value of credits nearing expiration.
- Reporting on outcomes of unused credit monitoring and strategy, any changes, and other pertinent details as appropriate.
- Operational Support - Provides daily support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements.
- Identifying Objectives - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. Suggests strategies to achieve company and department goals. Assists in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group.
- Reporting - Leverages reporting to identify company travel trends and opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in System Support or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in System Support or Analytics Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with travel management company (Navan, BCD or CMT)
- Executive presence.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in leveraging reporting to identify insights and opportunities. Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent, professional written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of travel industry trends and best practices.
- Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
