What You Do.

Strategy & Planning



  • Proactively identify learning needs and develop market research objectives that help Brand, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Food Service Ingredients (FSI) teams meet their strategic goals and manage risk associated with business decisions.
  • Supervise annual consumer research plans and budget for Consumer Products (CP) and Food Service Ingredients (FSI). Build consensus for research priorities among all relevant constituencies, including senior management, marketing, and sales.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning by leading the consumer situation assessment and contributing to marketing plans.
  • Active member of the FSI leadership team, providing strategic consultation and ensuring the voice of the consumer is championed in all business decisions.


Research Design & Expertise



  • Oversee the management of custom research projects, ensuring study designs align with business objectives, generating actionable insights, leveraging storytelling to bring those insights to life, and driving data informed business decisions.
  • Areas of research may include concept, product, packaging, positioning, advertising, equity tracking, syndicated scan/panel analysis, segmentation, shopper path to purchase, decision tree, in-store merchandising, and competitive intelligence.
  • Supervise the collection, organization, and maintenance of consumer and marketplace trends from all available data sources, to ensure Insights serves as a company-wide resource on demographic, attitudinal, and behavioral trends.
  • Leverage trends information and marketplace intelligence to inform opportunity identification, results analysis, and Trendscape and customer presentations.


Strategic Partnerships & Best Practices



  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and agencies to optimize collaboration and synergy.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry advancements by participating in conferences and forging connections with industry leaders to gain insights into innovative approaches.
  • Conduct benchmarking and engage with new suppliers and methodologies to identify best practices, setting a clear roadmap for integration and continuous improvement.
  • Look for ways to accelerate insights, deepen consumer understanding, better integrate consumer insights and analytics, and optimize cost efficiency of research.


People Management



  • Provide clear and compelling leadership to direct reports to help them understand corporate and business unit objectives and ensure high quality work.
  • Provide mentorship that gives employees ample opportunity to improve their research skills and achieve their full potential.


Your Education and Experience.



  • 10+ years of experience in CPG
  • Master's degree (MA or MBA) required.
  • Expertise in custom qualitative and quantitative research
  • Strong knowledge & experience with Circana/Nielsen scanner and panel
  • Strong business acumen and high level of influencing skills
