About the Job

The Department of Biology is looking for motivated undergrad student employees who will monitor and manage relevant content to our social media outlets and assist with various modes of advertising for the department. Remote and flexible hours.

Under the direction of the Biology department the job duties include:

  • Manage the day-to-day handling of departmental social media outlets
  • Post events, notifications
  • Monitor social media channels
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Assist with advertising and media for the department.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a current UMD student with or without work study.
  • Must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with utilizing Canva
Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $15.25
