Position Title: Mechanical Designer - Contract
Wage: Based on Experience A Contract Mechanical Designer II job in Oconomowoc, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role also involves working closely with multiple departments to streamline production and purchasing processes. Contract Mechanical Designer II job responsibilities include: - Prepare detailed models, drawings, and schematics using SolidWorks or SolidWorks Electrical - Ensure accuracy of dimensions, details, fits, and tolerances - Change and revise drawings, schematics, and bills of material as needed - Prepare advanced order material requisitions - Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with production and cost requirements - Work within ERP systems - Ensure compliance with mechanical (ASME, IBC) and electrical (UL, CSA) industry standards QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma with two years of post-high school training in college or vocational/technical school, or equivalent experience - Three to five years of experience in drafting and design - Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems required - Understanding of shop processes including machining, welding, and assembly - Knowledge of materials, machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail If you are interested in this Contract Mechanical Designer II job in Oconomowoc, WI please click APPLY NOW.
