Position Highlights The University of Arizona's Parking and Transportation Services department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Parking Services, Night Manager position. This position will provide essential services and access to students, faculty, staff and visitors as a member of Parking and Transportation Services (PTS), in the Parking Services Team. The primary function is to supervise full-time staff and students, along with managing PTS programs and services, managing and scheduling workforce, including planning and evaluating performance, creating and delivering staff training and development, recruitment, hiring, and discipline, subject to policies. Receives and processes routine reports to capture program and service delivery trends and documents property damage to the university by motorists. This position also assists other department teams by enabling successful revenue control and execution of large-scale public and private events on campus throughout the year.

This position is subject to weekend and night shift hours. Shift time and days off are subject to change based on 24/7 operational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cultivates a culture of service excellence and collaborative teamwork in support of our internal and external customers.
  • Monitors and directs department programs aimed at adherence to parking regulations and delivery of PTS services throughout campus, ensuring daily access for Students, Staff, Faculty and Visitors.
  • Provides direct supervision and ensures consistency of training for Parking Service Officers and Student Parking Service Officers.
  • Reviews service delivery program performance and issuance of citations to ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Enables other department teams success by facilitating successful revenue control and execution of large scale public and private events on campus throughout the year.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating with internal and external organizations to facilitate access and reduce traffic congestion for parking facilities during large scale events on campus and daily operations.
  • Develops and implements new policies and procedures on behalf of the Director of Operations to sustain high quality, front-facing customer service to Students, Faculty, Staff and Visitors.
  • Responsible for coordinating with internal and external organizations to resolve a variety of day-to-day customer complaints and develop program changes.
  • Communicates performance expectations, conducts yearly career conversations and periodic performance check-ins.
  • Motivates the team in setting long term goals and objectives and ensures accountability for performance issues.
  • Plans, reviews, and monitors responsible budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Responsible for making hiring and pay recommendations to the Director of Operations.
  • Receives, analyzes and interprets daily reports and statistics from various PTS systems to monitor performance, and determine recommendations for improvement in services, parking regulations and customer experience.

Work Environment:

    conditions.

    Heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for more than an hour.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's
    degree or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience,
    relating to criminal justice or business.
  • Minimum
    of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Valid
    Driver's License required.
  • Ability
    to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
