ROLE SUMMARY: Quanterix is seeking a Director of Business Operations for its Emission, Inc. subsidiary located in Georgetown, Texas, where reagents are manufactured for revolutionary biological testing devices. The Director of Business Operations will join a highly skilled team with a commitment to maintaining a positive and efficient workplace. They will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions that ensure Emission runs efficiently, including management of the Texas facility, coordination of various departments within Quanterix, and support of Quanterix and its affiliate partners. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, combined with a deep understanding of the multiplex bioanalysis market. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Oversee office facilities and infrastructure including site access and IT compliance. Effectively utilize Commercial resources to implement the strategic plan, ensuring effective technical sales support, new business on-boarding, and customer support. Communicate scientific and engineering aspects of our technology to internal collaborators such as Marketing. Support commercial activities by fielding incoming inquiries, responding to support escalations, drafting technical and advertising content, among other activities. Lead and oversee daily operations, logistics, and project execution including processing orders, overseeing shipping and receiving and maintaining good communication with customers and partners. Collaborate with Marketing on relevant advertising, product documentation and event planning, such as tradeshows. Participate in the contract management and compliance process as required. Serve as a liaison between the Finance teams to manage Emission's budget, facilitate purchasing as needed, and maintain good relationships with suppliers. Document and analyze current processes to develop efficient, customer-focused processes, while following corporate procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records. Identify and resolve issues related to office operations and foster a positive office environment. Provide reports, analytics, and insight to senior leaders on business efficiency, results, and improvements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science discipline 10+ years of experience in business operations or commercial operations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or higher in a biological science 5+ years of experience in a team leadership or people management position 5+ years of experience working with multiplex bioanalytical technologies 10+ years of customer technical service experience supporting multiplex bioanalytical systems, reagents, and applications. 5+ years of experience in managing corporate partners, including sales, forecasting and contract compliance. Deep understanding of molecular and proteomic fluid-based multiplex analysis. In depth experience with daily utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. Experience with quality management systems. Experience communicating critical business outcomes and strategy to senior level leadership EXPECTATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Basic accounting, proven organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
