In this role, you will perform tasks from design through functional testing. Tasks will include but not limited to assisting with design and submittal reviews, development of pre-functional checklist and functional performance test forms, construction site visits, and leading functional performance testing.

Job Responsibilities:

    Works with the commissioning (Cx) team to execute design reviews.
  • Administer submittal reviews on systems to be Cx.
  • Allocate commissioning pre-functional checklist (PFC) development.
  • Coordinate general construction phase site visits.
  • Execute field reporting from site visits.
  • Track open issues from reporting.
  • Attend construction/Cx meetings.
  • Works with the Cx team to development the functional performance test (FPT) scripts.
  • Works with the Cx team to coordinate/manage PFC with contractors to get completed in a timely manner.
  • Execute functional performance testing with contractors. Utilize and train Commissioning Technician during functional performance testing.
  • Manage issue logs and coordinate completion with Cx Team.
  • Implement the FPT checklist with findings and issues that may have been discovered.
  • Execute seasonal testing if required.
  • O&M reviews.
  • Works with the Cx team to develop the final commissioning reporting.
  • Travel requirements: Up to 50% annually, based on business needs
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree plus commissioning certification from one of the following - ACG, AEE, BCxA, BCxP
  • 4-6 years of experience in commissioning preferred, or a combination of education and experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the commissioning processes and procedures for MEP.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communications and analytical skills.
  • Ability to assist in training, coaching, and assist staff through the commissioning process.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
