JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Engineering Career Resources and Employer Relations office is seeking a Student and Employer Relations Associate. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of customer-facing activities, managing student peer mentors, and coordinating employer use of Nittany Lion Careers, the enterprise career services management system. Engineering Career Resources & Employer Relations is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position.

Job Responsibilities:

This position will act as the lead employer relations contact for posting cooperative education, internship, and full-time undergraduate and graduate student employment opportunities, including the review, approval, and monitoring of posted positions and coordination of student interview schedules. The position will be responsible for identifying new employer relationships and job opportunities based upon student interest. The position will provide support of office and College of Engineering engagement initiatives targeting government, industry, and alumni. This position will inform employers of various recruiting options and strategies to meet their talent acquisition needs collaborating closely with unit leadership.

This role will also manage and coordinate professional development activities and student programming, provide career counseling, and student job search strategies. The position will manage daily operation of the Career Envoy program, a peer mentor program, including managing office hours, speaking engagements, and group meetings.

This position will act as a first-line responder for troubleshooting issues in Nittany Lion Careers and sit on functional integration teams for the enterprise system. The position will work closely with the Associate Director to test and implement new system functionality and policies and procedures. The position will compile data from the system and other data sources for use by administration and corporate engagement teams.

Education & Experience:

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have experience working with both undergraduate and graduate students, knowledge of the Symplicity CMS, and exhibit strong oral and written communications, customer service, teamwork, and multi-tasking abilities.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
