THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be tasked with leading and managing a range of design projects, ensuring that the direction taken aligns with PENNDOT's strategic goals, priorities, and timelines. Your responsibilities will include planning, directing, and coordinating all facets of the designated design portfolio, which encompasses the administration, development, and execution of district policies and procedures in alignment with state-wide programs and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of professional civil engineering experience including two years of experience in directing the work of civil engineers.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

Condition of Employment:
  • This position requires possession of a valid driver's license.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
